On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!

“… But one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.  I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 3:13-14

What are your thoughts focused on?  Where are your eyes fixed?  Have you been spending your days dwelling on the past defeats, hurts or victories of yesterday.  Are you stuck because you have failed to cast your vision for the new year and beyond?  Do you have forward momentum, but in reality you make very little progress because you get easily distracted, sidetracked and pulled off course?

Now is the time to define your priorities and goals.  Going forward, make a quality decision to be led by the Holy Spirit and not your own will and emotions.  Fix your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith.  Act now, and seek God for clarity on your Kingdom assignments.  He will give you the answers.

Are you ready to run the race set before you?  Find your lane and stay in it.   The Holy Spirit is coaching you in the starting blocks, giving you direction and wisdom.  The Father is on the sidelines cheering you on with His love, promises and encouraging words.  Jesus is at the finish line waiting to receive you with open arms.  Anyone who ever ran track or watched a race knows the runner is to keep their eyes fixed on where they are going and not waste precious time or energy looking to see who is coming up beside them.  Just the same, don’t lose your confidence in God’s character and His word by overly focusing on your problems or other people.  Put everything into its proper perspective.  Keep your focus on God and listen to Him.  When you begin to constantly look at the circumstances surrounding you, you will surely begin to stumble.

So on your mark (bow down and worship Him), get set (prepare yourself to be God’s woman of purpose) and go (get busy with your Kingdom assignment in the marketplace)!  You have a high calling to fulfill.

In Christ,

The Declaration

Heavenly Father I thank you that you have a plan for my life.  I decree Proverbs 16:3 over my life that says if I commit to the Lord whatever I do my plans will succeed.  I have a vision of victory for my life.  Victory is in my every step.  I am filled with faith and expectancy.  Thank you  for where I am headed and what I am going to accomplish today.  It is all for your glory.  Proverbs 4:25 tells me to keep my eyes fixed straight ahead.  I obey your word, and therefore, I  will experience God’s abundance in everything I set my hands to.  Help me to manage my time and my schedule in a way that glorifies you and allows me to accomplish your will.  The Holy Spirit guides me into all truth and for that I am forever grateful.

In Jesus name, Amen.
